About Danadresse

We build the DAWA replacement we'd want to use ourselves — after 17 August 2026 DAWA shuts down and all of Denmark's address stack has to move. We turn that move into a single base-URL change.

Why we build this

DAWA has been a gift to the Danish developer ecosystem for over a decade. When SDFI announced the shutdown on 17 August 2026, we looked at the alternatives: back to raw Datafordeleren GraphQL (slow, clunky, requires an enterprise agreement), or ask a consultant (expensive, slow).

We chose a third path: build it ourselves as a drop-in product. Same paths. Same JSON. Same UUIDs. The difference is that you don't change your code — you change the base URL.
